The budget session of the AP Assembly is likely to begin on June 16.
Highly placed sources from the state government said that the Governor of the state Biswabhushan Harichandan would address the House on the first day of the session.
State finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy will introduce the budget on June 18.
Although the budget session was scheduled for March of this year, it had to be adjourned due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the state.
The state government later issued an ordinance and approved a budget for a period of four months.
As that vote-on-account budget's validity expires on June 30th, the state government is expected to convene a budget session to approve the annual budget.
Also, the Rajya Sabha elections are scheduled to be held on June 19, and the MLAs are all expected to take part in the voting.
