Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha today lashed out at the opposition TDP leaders and said that they were not honouring the verdict of the people of the state.
She said that the comments of TDP leader Ayyanna Patrudu against the CM of the state Y S Jaganmohan Reddy (he had called the CM chettha naa koduku) were very improper.
She also objected to his comments about the law and order situation in AP, and pointed out that politician Vangaveeti Ranga was murdered during the rule of the TDP. She asked Patrudu if he was not concerned about the law and order situation in the state after the murder of Ranga. She also claimed that the TDP leaders, instead of taking action, had mocked YSRCP leaders after an attempt to murder Jagan was made by a man during the TDP rule.
Referring to the demand of Patrudu that she should resign from her post, she asked Patrudu in which capacity he was demanding her resignation. She said that she would quit from her post only if Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy asked her to do so.
She said that it was unfortunate that Ayanna Patrudu had made objectionable comments against a woman home minister of the state. She claimed that although she did not deem the comments worthy of a response, she was responding as she was forced to set the record straight.
