Bowing to the pressure of the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, the state government, on Friday gave permission to the Telangana March to be held on September 30 on Necklace Road.
Talking to media persons at Secretariat, Panchayati Raj minister K Jana Reddy said that the government has agreed to allow the march from 3pm to 7pm on Necklace Road.
He said that the government would announce the route map for the march after discussing it with the officials concerned.
He added that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had appealed to Telangana leaders to organise the march peacefully in order to maintain Hyderabad's brand image.
Stating that his government was not against the march, he appealed to the people to participate in it peacefully.
BC Welfare minister Basavaraj Saraiah said that all Telangana ministers and MLAs would extend their support to the march. (INN)
