Former Rajya Sabha member and film actor M Mohan Babu on Thursday expressed solidarity with renowned social activist Anna Hazare, whose fast-unto-death against corruption entered its 3rd day today.
Talking to mediapersons here, the film actor stated that he will hold a massive rally along with college-going students in Tirupati on Friday to extend support to Anna Hazare.
Mohan Babu stated that he was launching the massive rally to eradicate corruption at all levels, and to create awareness amongst citizens about how corruption in a society eats into the fruit of labour.
"It is the responsibility of each citizen to support the rally, and fight for a corruption-free society," he pointed out.
Anna Hazare is demanding more teeth to the Jan Lok Pal Bill, saying that the legislation proposed by the government is not adequate. The social activist demanded that a joint committee, comprising representatives of the government and civil society, be set up to suggest appropriate changes in the bill. (INN)
