Activist Anna Hazare reached Hyderabad last night to lead an anti-corruption rally at Wesley Junior College today in Secunderabad. He was met by admirers and supporters in large numbers at Shamshabad Airport.
Talking to the media, he said, "The fight for a corruption-free India has begun. I was called to Hyderabad to conduct a program to mobilise the youth, and so I'm here. This is where we must start building a corruption-free nation."
Anna Hazare successfully led widespread movements against corruption in the government in Mumbai and Delhi. His supporters are planning two more programs in the state. The details are expected to be made public at the end of the day.
