Describing the
arrest of civil activist Anna Hazare in New Delhi as undemocratic and unconstitutional, Telugu Desam Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday, took out a rally to express his party's solidarity with the anti-corruption movement.
The rally, from NTR Trust Bhavan to Tank Bund, was attended by hundreds of TDP leaders and workers.
Urging people to pay heed to Anna Hazare's 'Jail Bharo' call, Naidu said he would sit for a 'Deeksha' at the Ambedkar Statue at Tank Bund.
Alleging that the government has violated the basic rights of citizens, Naidu said his party would continue its fight against preventing corruption at all levels.
Naidu also called upon people to launch a voluntary fight against corruption and support Hazare in his crusade against the graft. He also urged the government to bring the judiciary system under the surveillance of the Lokpal. (INN)
