Film star Nandamuri Balarrishna on Monday alleged that the state has gone backwards by 30 years due to the "misrule" of the Congress government since 2004.
Talking to reporters after unveiling a statue of NTR at Punganuru, Balakrishna said that the state government has completely ignored people's welfare.
Referring to the proposal of the hike in power tariff, he said that both the Centre and state governments have been burdening the common man by affecting hikes in different charges.
Earlier, Balakrishna, Chandrababu Naidu's son Nara Lokesh, along with local TDP leaders and fans, played cricket in Naravaripalle, Naidu's native village. Since Naidu is on his Vastunnaa Meekosam padayatra in Khammam, members of Nara and Nandamuri families celebrated Sankranti without him at his ancestral place.
TDP senior leaders Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu and Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy also visited Naravaripalli and met Balakrishna and Lokesh. (INN)
