YSR Kadapa district BJP vice-president N Venkateshwarlu and Dalit Morcha former president Narasimhulu have demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government immediately expel actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna from the state Assembly for the abusive language he used against Prime Minster Narendra Modi.
Speaking to mediapersons today, Venkateshwarlu and Narasimhulu said that a criminal case had also been registered against Balakrishna some ten years back, and that he was a serial offender.
They said that Balakrishna should also be arrested immediately for his foul language against the Prime Minister of the country. That said that it was quite disappointing that the MLA had spoken like a street rowdy against the Prime Minister right in the presence of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and that the latter had chosen to remain a silent spectator.
The language used by Balakrishna against Modi showed his character, they said.
They also alleged that TDP government had committed financial irregularities in all the schemes in Andhra Pradesh funded by the Union government.
For the uninitiated, Balakrishna had made some pretty pungent remarks against Modi during the Dharma Porata Deeksha taken up by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on April 20 in Vijayawada.
"Traitor, namak haraam, come out & face the people, they'll beat you up & make you run. No matter where you go & hide, even if you hide in a bunker, Bharat Mata will bury you. Rebellion has begun & we'll not stay quiet," the actor had said.
