Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy faced certain respiratory problems while presenting the
state Budget for the financial year 2012-13 in the Legislative Assembly, on Friday. This was his second Budget speech as Finance Minister.
After making the speech for about 59 minutes, the minister suffered from breathlessness. He was immediately referred to doctors present in the Assembly.
On Speaker Nadendla Manohar's directions, Agriculture Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah continued the Budget speech for a few minutes.
However, after a few minutes, Anam returned to the House to finish his speech. Doctors have reportedly said that Anam's sugar levels had dipped during the Budget speech. (INN)
