Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy has said that the state budget for the year 2012-13 would be "people-friendly".
Talking to media persons after reviewing the progress of preparations for the budget with the officials of his department at the state Secretariat, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy said that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has already been asked to finalise the dates for the Budget session of the State Legislative Assembly.
He said that once the Chief Minister makes a decision, the dates would then be conveyed to Governor E S L Narasimhan and Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar.
However, the Finance Minister said that the budget for the financial year 2012-13 would be passed before the end of March.
Except for 3 departments - Major Industries, Information Technology and Tribal Welfare - budget proposals of all other departments have been received, he said.
Anam also said that the proposals of the remaining departments would be ready soon. (INN)
