The Election Commission has made all the necessary arrangements for the Dubbaka by-election to be held on November 3, Tuesday.
The officials sent staff to 315 polling stations with election material, after giving them the required training, including in following and enforcing the coronavirus protocol.
315 EVMs have been put in place - one for each polling station - and 120 more EVMs have been made available as stand-by.
There are 1,98,807 voters in the constituency, including 97,978 men and 1,00,778 women. Voting will be allowed from 7 am to 6 pm.
All the necessary security arrangements have been made for a smooth election.
After a month of extremely hectic campaiging and plenty of incidents, Dubbaka now almost resembles a normal place with the political parties having wound up their campaign at 5 pm on Sunday in accordance with the model code of conduct.
The result of the election will be announced on November 10.
