Visibly humbled by the loss in the Dubbaka by-election after being accustomed to emphatic victories for six years in a row, TRS working president and minister K T Rama Rao today said that the results would be reviewed in the party forum and corrective measures taken.
The TRS leader was addressing a press conference at the party office with minister Srinivas Yadav and other leaders soon after the result was announced.
Speaking in it, he said that the TRS would introspect on the result. He also said that victory and defeat were both common in elections, and that the TRS neither overly gloated when it won nor felt devastated when it lost.
"This result will make us think and prepare better for future elections," he said.
He thanked minister T Harish Rao and others for a rigorous campaign, and all those people who voted for the TRS.
