9-Year-Old Deekshit Killed: Mahbubabad Police

The sensational kidnap of 9-year-old Deekshit Reddy had a tragic end.

The kidnappers brutally killed the boy.

This was revealed by Mahbubabad district SP Koti Reddy.

Addressing the media today he said that the police had found the body of the boy on a hillock located on the outskirts of Annaram of Kesamudram mandal.

Reddy said that one Manda Sagar, who was the neighbour of the victim, had kidnapped him on Sunday evening and taken him away on his bike. The kidnapper had conducted a recce before executing his criminal act, and had taken all possible precautions to escape the eyes of the CC cameras, but was caught by the CC cameras located at the district collectorate, the SP said.

He said that the accused had kidnapped the boy for money but had killed him for fear of being caught, by squeezing his throat, within just one-and-a-half-hour of the kidnap. He then took the body to the Annaram hillock and hid it there.

The SP added that the accused still started demanding Rs 45 lakh from the parents of the victim, and continued to call up the parents to meet his demand for the next two days.

Reddy said that the police had traced the accused by using the latest technology despite his using the internet to make calls, and that they had arrested Manda Sagar and one Manoj Reddy along with him.
