4,637 Schools Being Closed For Their Land: Congress

The Telangana Congress condemned the decision to close down 4,637 government schools in the name of rationalisation, and claimed it was for their lands.
Hyderabad | 10th May 2017
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee official spokesperson Konagala Mahesh condemned the government's decision to close down 4,637 government schools in the name of rationalisation, and asked for its withdrawal.

Speaking to mediapersons on Wednesday, the TPCC spokesperson alleged that the TRS government was closing the schools mainly to use the land for its free double bedroom houses scheme.

He also alleged that the Chief Minister was closing the government schools for the sake of commissions being given to him by the corporate schools.

Konagala said the TRS government hadn't reformed even after getting shocks from the people and the courts.

He also termed the closure of the government schools as anti-unemployed youth, as the unemployed youth of the state were eagerly waiting for the DSC notification, and expecting jobs.
