The joint assessment of the free double bedroom houses being built by the state government by minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Bhatti Vikramarka came to a halt in an abrupt manner on its second day.
The minister and the CLP leader traded charges at each other, and things got to a state where Vikramarka stopped at Rampally, and only the minister and GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan left for Kollur.
Speaking to the media later, Vikramarka alleged that the TRS leaders were showing houses built in other constituencies of the state instead of the ones in the GHMC limits, when the whole idea was to see whether the TRS had kept its promise of building 1 lakh houses in the GHMC Limits.
He claimed that the TRS leaders had tried to show him the houses built in the Maheswaram Assembly constituency instead of those in the constituencies located in the GHMC limits.
He made it clear that he would consider only the 3,400 houses shown to him by the minister in the GHMC limits.
He challenged the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao to show him the one lakh houses built in the GHMC limits, and said that the Congress would chase the ruling party leaders till they were shown the one lakh houses.
On the other hand, minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav expressed his severe displeasure over the attitude of the Congress leaders.
He alleged that the Congress leaders were making baseless allegations against the government as they were not able to digest the reality.
He asked the Congress leaders not to make any comments without observing all the houses built by the state government.
