Government Lying About Free 2BHK Houses In GHMC Area: Congress

Telangana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today said that the state government failed to keep its promise of constructing one lakh double bedroom houses in the GHMC limits.

Speaking to media persons at Indira Bhavan along with the party MLC T Jeevan Reddy former MPs V Hanumantha Rao and M Anjan Kumar Yadav, Vikramarka said that the government had shown only 3,428 houses in the GHMC limits to the Congress leaders during their recent two-day visit.

That meant that the government was still left with the construction of 96,000+ houses in the GHMC limits.

He alleged that the TRS was however getting ready to cheat the residents of the GHMC once more ahead of its elections by claiming that 1,00,000 houses had been constructed.

He added that CM K Chandrashekar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao were cheating the people of the state before every elections by claiming that one lakh houses were ready to be delivered to the beneficiaries and promising to allot the houses after the conclusion of the elections.

He said that it had become a habit for the CM to cheat the people to get their votes and then forget them after the elections.

To buttress his claims, Vikramarka showed videos of the CM promising to build 2.6 lakh houses in the GHMC limits, as also statements of the state's cabinet ministers that one lakh double bedroom houses were ready for allotment in the corporation limits.

He asseverated that the TRS government had not built even 4,000 houses in the GHMC limits, and that minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav had shown the Congress leaders just 3,428 houses in the Jiaguda, Ghode ki Qabar, Indira Gandhi Colony and Bansilalpet areas of Hyderabad in a tour that the Congress had pressed for to unearth the real facts.

He asked the TRS leaders how much longer they would continue to cheat the people of the state over the free double-bedroom houses scheme.
