Task Force sleuths on Monday raided 2 video shops and nabbed 4 persons for selling pirated DVD and VCDs of recently released movies.
The sleuths also seized 4,215 pirated DVDs/VCDs including 500 porn DVDs, 2 DVD writers (each containing 7 DVD writers), and label sheets from their possession.
According to Task Force officials, the shops, 'Super Music Time' near Charminar bus stop and 'Raj Kumar Video Point' at Jagirdarbada, Khairatabad were preparing and circulating pirated DVD/VCDs of latest Telugu movies including 'Robo', 'Komaram Puli', 'Don Srinu', 'Maryada Ramayana' and other Hindi, English movies, and porn (blue films) DVDs/VCDs.
Among the 4 accused, Mata Rakesh of 'Raj Kumar Video Point' and Survansh Vikas were taken into custody, charged with selling porn movies and video piracy.
Mohd Siddiq and Mohd Fayaz were charged with pirating the latest blockbusters.
At the instance of Mata Rakesh, the police seized 350 Telugu movie DVDs/VCDs, 225 Hindi movie DVDs/VCDs, 375 English movie DVDs/VCDs, 400 porn (blue film) movie DVDs/VCDs, 325 MP3 songs VCDs in Hindi, Telugu and English, 2 DVD writers and a total number of 1,675 pirated DVDs/VCDs from the possession of the accused.
At the instance of Mohd.Siddiq, the sleuths seized 50 Telugu movie DVDs/VCDs, 900 Hindi movie VDs/VCDs, 550 English movie DVDs/VCDs, 100 porn (blue film) movie DVDs/VCDs, and 940 MP3 songs VCDs in Hindi, Telugu & English. A total number of 2,540 pirated DVDs/VCDs worth Rs. 2 lakhs were seized from the possession of the accused.
The accused, along with seized property, were handed over to their respective police stations.
