The CM said the govt had constituted the Telangana Tribes Advisory Council, and was constituting the Telangana State Commission for Scheduled Tribes, too.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that the State Government would soon provide up to 12% reservation to the Scheduled Tribes in Telangana.
Replying to a query raised by MLAs Thati Venkateswarlu and Payam Venkateswarlu during the Question Hour in the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, the CM said that the government had constituted the Telangana Tribes Advisory Council on August 18, and was also in the process of the constitution of the Telangana State Commission for Scheduled Tribes to aid and advise the government in the implementation of all major schemes for the tribal population.
"The proposed enhancement of reservation will be implemented at the earliest," the Chief Minister assured. (INN)
