Following the recent all-Party meeting held on the creation of new districts in the State, the Telangana government today announced that it would elicit public opinion on the issue before taking a final call.
Chief Minister KCR, addressing a press conference, said that the government would release a draft notification on Monday and place it in the public domain to receive suggestions from the people of the State on the delimitation of the revenue divisions and Assembly segments.
The government as of now has decided to chop up the 10 districts into 27 districts to achieve more decentralized governance. It is likely to change this decision after receiving public suggestions.
