Haj 2012 to Take Off From Hyderabad On October 6
Nearly 8,500 pilgrims, including 7,350 pilgrims from all over Andhra Pradesh, will leave for Jeddah through 26 direct flights between October 6 and October 19.
Elaborate arrangements are being made for the departure of pilgrims for the Haj 2012 from the Haj House at Nampally.
Nearly 8,500 pilgrims, including 7,350 pilgrims from all over Andhra Pradesh, will leave for Jeddah through 26 direct flights from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, between October 6 and October 19. All the pilgrims will first arrive at the Haj House two days prior to their scheduled flights. The legal formalities of immigration, customs, etc., will be done at the Haj Camp itself.
The pilgrims will return from Holy Madina from November 17 to November 30.
Talking to reporters after presiding over the SHC's Coordination Committee meeting, the Minorities Welfare Minister stated that all the government offices located in the Haj House building have been asked to evacuate during the Haj camp period. He said that this time, only one attendant would be allowed per pilgrim. He also declared that the foundation stone for the new Haj House building near Shamshabad will be laid in the next 10 days.
The meeting was also attended by the State Haj Committee chairman Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed, the Wakf Board chairman Syed Ghulam Sarvar Afzal Biyabani, the Central Haj Committee CEO Shakhir Hussain, the City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma and the senior officials of Central Excise, Immigration, GMR and other departments.
