A Haj pilgrim, Haji Mohammed Ismail Chaand, belonging to Narayanpet of Mahboobnagar district, expired on Tuesday evening in Makkah Mukarramah.
According to the State Haj Committee, the 57-year-old pilgrim had gone for the Haj pilgrimage along with his wife Shareefa Bee, son Mohammed Gayasuddin and daughter-in-law Habeebunissa Begum on October 6. He was scheduled to return on November 16. He was accommodated in room no. 606 in building no. 94 in Makkah Mukarramah, under the Green Category.
The Namaz-e-Janaza was performed after the Fajr prayers on Wednesday morning in Haram Shareef, and his burial took place in Makkah.
Mohammed Ismail Chaand is survived by three sons and five daughters. Khadimul Hujaj Syed Kabeer and MA Mannan rendered help to the bereaved family members in fulfilling the formalities in the Makkah, the SHC said.
Earlier, another Haji, M A Wahab of Kurnool, died during the Haj in Mina. He was 63, and was on the Haj pilgrimage along with his wife.
Minister for Minorities Welfare Mohammed Ahmadullah, SHC chairman Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed Chairman and other officials condoled the death of the Haj pilgrims. (INN)
