OUJAC Calls For T-Bandh

Infuriated at the Srikrishna Committee's report on Telangana, which does not recommend a separate Telangana, the OU JAC has called for a bandh.

The Osmania University JAC has called for a Telangana bandh on 7th January, in protest against the Srikrishna Committee report on Telangana that was made public today.

The Osmania University campus has, as expected, reacted turbulently to the Srikrishna report. Buses are being burnt, and there is reportedly friction between students and the police on the campus.

Not suprisingly, the TRS is unhappy with the Srikrishna Committee report, and as it has already made clear, has stated that it will not take the report seriously.

Meanwhile, TDP leaders have started a rally towards Gun Park. The TDP had already boycotted the all-party conclave that was held in New Delhi to discuss the Srikrishna Committee report. The TRS and the BJP, too, had skipped the meet.

Bifurcate telangana with hyderabad as its capital from andhra pradesh and observe the development rate of telangana for a reasonable amount of time. If the development rate is better than the current status then separate statehood may be continued else it can be merged again
