The threats made by a YSR Congress Party leader, who is considered close to the Raidurgam MLA Kapu Ramachandra Reddy, also of the same party, went viral in the social media today.
The leader Jayarami Reddy allegedly threatened a contractor and asked him to stop the works of the Rayadurgam-Kanekal road.
He asked the contractor how he went ahead and executed the works without meeting the MLA, and warned him that he would have to face physical attacks if the works were not stopped.
The state government had approved the 14-km long road construction works, from Nallampally village of Kanekal mandal of the constituency. It also sanctioned Rs. 17 crore for the execution of the works. A firm by name DMC bagged the contract and took up the works. However, Jayarami Reddy threatened the contractor for not contacting the MLA before commencing the works.
