TDP leader Nara Lokesh on Friday asserted that Jagan Mohan Reddy was known for lies and betrayals, and that the CM's father late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had once threatened to break the legs of his son if the latter set foot again on AP soil.
Lokesh said that the former CM late Konijeti Rosaiah had revealed this.
"Jagan's misdeeds and excesses had started even during his father YSR's regime, and YSR himself could not tolerate the lawlessness, intimidation, cheating and betrayals of his own son in those days itself," Lokesh said.
The TDP MLC released a video showing Rosaiah explaining YSR's frustration over Jagan's "illegal" activities at that time. Because of that, Jagan had targeted and subjected Rosaiah to political victimisation, the TDP MLC alleged.
Lokesh also condemned the circumstances in which Sarpavaram SI Gopala Krishna had died in Kakinada. There were suspicions that the ruling YSRCP leaders had victimised and harassed him, eventually leading to his death, Lokesh claimed.
"The Jagan government caused the untimely death of an honest police officer," he alleged, and asked how the police could ensure the safety and security of the people when their own lives were not secure.
"The YCP rulers have been victimising almost all sections - from political rivals to government employees, social media activists and construction workers - and now even police officials are part of their hit list," he lamented.
