After being accused of turning silent on the Special Status issue suddenly, the YSR Congress Party seems to have been forced to get back to it. And so YSR Congress Party MLA R K Roja today asked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been saying for a while now that Special Category Status would be of no use to Andhra Pradesh, why he had passed resolutions twice in the Legislative Assembly stating that the Centre needed to give Special Status to the state.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Roja asked Naidu why he had asked the Centre to concede Special Status to Andhra Pradesh at the Tirupati Srivaru premises.
She also asked Naidu whether the latter had forgotten his demand that the state needed to get special status not for 10 years but for 15 years.
She also sought to know what Naidu had achieved with the special package given to the state.
Roja also accused Naidu of failing to pull up the Centre on not bridging the state's deficit budget, and suggested that he needed sincerity and not seniority. Ridiculing the CM, she said that he had seniority only in corruption. She warned him that the YSRCP would not stay quiet if he stepped back in regard to Special Status for the state.
She also called the Vizag land encroachment scam one of the biggest in the nation, and alleged that Naidu's son Lokesh, and several TDP MLAs and ministers were the main culprits in it. She asked Naidu why he was refraining from ordering a CBI inquiry into the scam.
