The continuous reviews and meetings led by Minister for Endowments Konda Surekha have led to significant progress in transforming the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple into a magnificent destination.
Following the efforts of Surekha, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today granted permission for the gold-plating of the temple's vimana gopuram (tower).
The minister then swiftly directed the authorities to begin the work without delay and finish it by March 2025, in time for the temple's Brahmotsavam festival.
The State government has entrusted the work to a company named Smart Creations. It has also formed a special committee chaired by Principal Secretary (Endowments) Shailaja Ramaiyer to oversee the project. The Director of the Endowments Department will serve as the convener. Other members of the committee include the Government Advisor for Infrastructure and Projects K S Sreenivasa Raju, VTDA Vice Chairman G Kishan Rao, the Executive Officer of the Yadagirigutta temple Bhaskara Rao, and the Chief Engineer of the Electricity Department.
This committee will closely monitor the progress of the work and provide the necessary guidance and recommendations.
Meanwhile, the government has also issued another order approving land acquisition to support the development and expansion of the Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
