Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today mandated that "Yadadri" be changed to "Yadagirigutta" in all official records, and enforced in daily usage.
He also announced that the Telangana government would form a Yadagirigutta Temple Board, modeled after the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Officials have been directed to begin the necessary preparations to create the board.
The Chief Minister visited the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadagirigutta on the occasion of his birthday, where he offered prayers and received blessings from the temple priests.
Later, he held a review meeting with officials on advancing the development of the temple. Attendees included ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, MLAs and MPs from the Nalgonda region, and many senior officials.
Revanth Reddy emphasized that the temple board should be on par with the TTD, and instructed officials to study the TTD's structure thoroughly.
He also ordered arrangements be made for overnight stays for devotees at the hill temple, expediting of the gold plating of the Vimana Gopuram to ensure completion before the Brahmotsavam festival, a special policy for cow protection at the temple's Goshala using innovative technologies, and finalisation of pending land acquisitions related to the temple development, pledging the necessary funds for these.
"All unfinished work at the temple must be completed within a set timeframe," the Chief Minister said. "Officials should present a detailed plan within a week and submit a comprehensive report on pending tasks as soon as possible."
