YSV Should Be Punished: Etela
TRS leader Etela Rajender demanded that the Deputy Speaker should take stern action against Y S Vivekananda Reddy for attacking TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Floor leader Etela Rajender on Tuesday alleged that Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar was biased towards the people of the Rayalaseema region because the latter did not punish Agriculture Minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, who had allegedly attacked Telugu Desam Party MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar on the Floor of the House on Monday.
Talking to mediapersons at Assembly media-point, Rajender recalled that Manohar had ordered his (Rajender's) car driver, Mallesh, to undergo 45 days imprisonment for attacking Lok Satta Party President Jayaprakash Narayan on the opening day of the budget session.
"However, when a Minister from Seemandhra, Y S Vivekananda Reddy, attacked the TDP MLA, the Deputy Speaker only sought the Agriculture Minister's apology and did not take any strict action. Neither did he impose any punishment, nor did he suspend him from the House," the TRS leader complained.
"This clearly shows that Manohar was discriminating against the people of Telangana," he alleged.
Condemning the Agriculture Minister's behaviour, Rajender said that Y S V had behaved 'like a street rowdy and had attacked the MLA'. He demanded that the Deputy Speaker initiate stern action against the Minister to make sure that such ugly incidents don't occur in future.
The TRS leader also stated that justice to the people of Telangana can be realized only by the formation of a separate state.
Rajender demanded that the vacant Osmania University Vice-Chancellor's post should be occupied by someone from the Telangana region. He warned the government of serious consequences if someone from any other region, apart from Telangana, is chosen for the post.
