Telangana Rashtra Samithi floor leader Etela Rajender on Monday welcomed the January 10 deadline fixed by Speaker Nadendla Manohar to submit the amendments to the State Reorganisation Bill 2013.
Speaking to reporters at the Assemby media point in Hyderabad, Etela said that fixing the January 10 deadline was an achievement and victory for the people of Telangana. He expressed confidence that irrespective of the outcome of the debate on the Telangana Bill in the state Legislative Assembly, the Telangana state would be a reality soon.
He condemned Seemandhra legislators for not stalling the proceedings of the House to prevent a debate on Telangana Bill.
Etela also asked the Telangana leaders of the Telugu Desam Party to quit and join the TRS. He said that it was surprising that despite N Chandrababu Naidu's open opposition to Telangana formation, leaders from the region were still continuing in the party. He added that Telangana leaders should think about Naidu's behaviour and justify their continuance in the TDP. (INN)
