Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today called upon the people of the State to participate in the reconstruction of Telangana.
Speaking at a program at Shilpa Kala Vedika after handing over appointment letters to 1,635 candidates selected for various posts in government departments, the CM said that the previous BRS government had dragged the filling of vacancies for years and had kept things at the notification stage for a few years, but that the Congress government had given 30,000 jobs within 90 days of coming to power.
The Chief Minister also reiterated that his government would go ahead with the Musi riverfront project despite the "hurdles" being created by the opposition parties.
He asked whether the lives of the poor in the Musi area should be improved by all possible means or not.
"There are 10,000 families in the Musi area. The State government is ready to spend another Rs 10,000 crore, but it will not go back on the Musi riverfront project," he asserted.
Speaking to the selected candidates, he said, "Decide whether you want to take Kaleshwaram as a role model or Nagarjuna Sagar for the construction of big projects. Be responsible from the day of joining service till retirement. You all have the responsibility of winning the trust of the people."
