Will Finish Re-Verification By May 8: Inter Board To HC

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education today informed the High Court that it would complete the re-verification of the Intermediate papers by May 8.

The Board of Intermediate Education today informed the High Court that it would complete the re-verification and recounting of marks of the Intermediate examination papers by May 8.

The court on Monday heard the petitions on the Intermediate results alleging failure on the parts of the BIE officials that led to suicides by 20+ students and rancorous protests which rattled the State.

The court sought to know the details of how many students qualified after re-verification and recounting of marks in the exam papers so far. To this, the Board officials replied that they would be able to complete the process by May 8.

The court then directed the BIE officials to first complete the re-verification and then take further steps based on the number of qualifying candidates.

The court also expressed concern over the suicides by Intermediate students and termed it as unfortunate, and posted the case for May 8.
