Will Capture Power In Telangana At Any Cost: Amit Shah
Addressing the Parade Grounds public meeting, the union home minister said that the BJP would capture power in Telangana in the next elections at any cost.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that the BJP would capture power in Telangana in the next Assembly elections at any cost, and notwithstanding the problems created by any rival political leader.
Addressing the BJP's public meeting held at Parade grounds this evening, Shah said that the main goal of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was to make his son minister K T Rama Rao the next Chief Minister.
He also asked KCR if he had visited the State secretariat at least once during his eight-year rule. Claiming that the CM was not visiting the secretariat since an astrologer had told him that his government would fall if he stepped in there, Shah said that a leader like that who believed in superstitions could not continue in the post of CM.
Shah also said that KCR had also opposed celebrating the Hyderabad Liberation Day, and that the steering of the TRS government was clearly in the hands of MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi. He claimed that the Hyderabad princely State would not have become a part of the country had there was no Sardar Patel, but that KCR had no appreciation of that.
He also alleged that KCR did not think about the youth or the poor people in the State, and mockingly said that creation of employment for the youth for KCR was making his son KTR the next CM. Lamenting that KCR's selfishness was making Telangana go backwards while all other States in the country were going forward on the path of development, he said that there was a need to end family-based politics in Telangana if the State was to progress.
Pointing out that the BJP had extended support for the creation of a separate Telangana State, he said that the party had always had the welfare of the people of the region at heart.
And expressing confidence that the people of the State reciprocated the emotion, he asked KCR to hold the next Assembly elections whenever he wanted, and said that the BJP would win them hands down.
