VVIP Culture Claims Life Of Old Woman In Hyderabad
The Hyderabad Police, in order to give the CM's convoy unrestricted movement, blocked an ambulance that was carrying an ailing woman in her late sixties.
In a tragic outcome of the VVIP culture, traffic restrictions and strict security arrangements during Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's visit claimed the life of an old woman in her late sixties who was being taken to a hospital in an ambulance.
The cops on duty stopped the car in which the old woman was being shifted to the hospital. The police allegedly didn't listen to her family members' (who were in the ambulance) repeated pleas to allow the ailing woman to go to the hospital (near to the residence of Minister Jagadish Reddy).
The kin of the deceased, expressing agony, lashed out at the police personnel for not allowing the car to pass, and blamed the cops for her death. They asked if the CM's convoy was more important than a dying person.
