Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express Inaugurated
Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay today flagged off the Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express, which also stops at the Manchiryal railway station.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay today flagged off Train No 20101, the Nagpur-Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express, which comes with a provision for stoppage at the Manchiryal railway station.
Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy, Telangana Labour and Employment Minister; Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, Member of Parliament, Peddapalli; C Anji Reddy, Member of the Legislative Council; and other dignitaries graced the occasion. Dr R Gopalakrishnan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; A Sridhar, Chief Public Relations Officer, South Central Railway; and other officials were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana was witnessing unprecedented development in all sectors.
He claimed that the Vande Bharat Express had been a colossal hit in India, with more than 150 such trains operating across the country. He said that with the stoppage of the Vande Bharat Express at Manchiryal station, the aspirations of the people in this region had been fulfilled, with the people of the surrounding areas now having the fastest travel option to Secunderabad and Nagpur.
He also said that the railway budget allocation for Telangana during 2024-25 was Rs 5,337 crore, which was more than 20 times the Rs 258 crore allocated in 2014-15. He added that around 40 infrastructure projects - including new lines, and doubling and tripling of lines - covering a distance of 4,300 km were underway in Telangana at a cost of Rs 42,000 crore. Various stations in Telangana were also being redeveloped with world-class facilities under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy said that the Manchiryal station was one of the important railway stations in Telangana, and providing stoppages for key trains at this station was essential for the benefit of the people in this region. He thanked the railway authorities for facilitating the stoppage of the Vande Bharat Express at this station.
Gaddam Vamsi Krishna said that providing stoppages for trains at the Manchiryal station would strengthen connectivity and serve as a foundation to boost the region's economic development. He said that the stoppage would benefit people working in coal mines, factories and thermal power plants in the region.
