Actor Vivek Oberoi, who enacted former legislator Paritala Ravi's character in Ram Gopal Varma's controversial film '
Rakta Charitra-I', visited Anantapur district on Monday to pay homage to the departed leader.
Vivek Oberoi visited Paritala Ghat in the district and offered floral tributes to the Telugu Desam Party MLA, who was gunned down by his rivals in Anantapur district in 2005.
Supporters of Paritala Ravi family and fans greeted Vivek. The family members gave a red-carpet welcome to the leader.
Greeting people in Telugu, the actor said he was satisfied after playing the character of the former MLA. Vivek said he got a good response from fans over the movie.
The film directed by Ram Gopal Varma created controversy for projecting TDP founder NTR in
poor manner.
Even locals had also raised objection against targeting Anantapur
Reddy community in Rayalaseema factions.
Following the protest by TDP activists, Varma was forced to delete objectionable scenes in the movie.
