Vishweshwar Reddy Supporting Etala Openly

Former Congress leader Konda Vishweshwar Reddy today extended his support to BJP leader and former minister Etala Rajender ahead of the upcoming by-election in the Huzurabad constituency.

Speaking after calling on Inti Party head Cheruku Sudhakar at the latter's party office in Adarshnagar for a meeting, during which the two leaders reportedly discussed the upcoming election and the future course of action, Reddy said that he would extend his "full support" to Rajender during the by-election.

"The by-election in Huzurabad is not an electoral battle between different political parties but simply one between Etala Rajender and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. It is important to defeat the TRS and for this, I will extend my support to Rajender. There are many other leaders who are supporting him as well. Soon, many leaders will come together to create a forum of the Telangana movement activists in order to defeat the ruling party in the by-election," he said.

However, the leader hastily clarified, "It must be remembered that we will be extending our support only to Rajender and not to the BJP."

He then reiterated that a large number of leaders were planning to come together to "make sure" that the TRS was defeated in Huzurabad "at any cost", and added that this group would seek the support of leaders from all the political parties in Telangana to achieve their goal of defeating and weakening the KCR regime.
