Former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, who is lodged in the Chanchalguda Jail, was rushed to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences at Panjagutta after he fell ill.
According to sources, Mopidevi has been suffering from high blood pressure and chest pain for quite some time now. He was referred to the Osmania General Hospital when he complained of chest pain on
June 17, while he was taken to the NIMS on
July 2 when he complained of back pain.
On Friday, he was taken to NIMS for necessary medical examinations.
Mopidevi has been lodged in the Chanchalguda Central Jail since he was arrested by the CBI on May 24, 2012, for his alleged role in the VANPIC segment of Jagan's Disproportionate Assets case. (INN)
