Urging his fellow party leaders not to oppose Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy's entry into the Congress, Telangana Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao asked them to adjust if the party high command took a decision in this regard.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, VHR said that he had been asking Reddy to join the Congress for several days. He said that Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao was throwing the assurances he had made to the people in the dustbin, and that meant that the Congress needed to get stronger in order to win the 2019 elections and come to the people's rescue.
Revanth Reddy's entry would strengthen the Congress since he was a popular leader and a vote-catcher, and all leaders of the Congress would benefit if the party had a strong leader like Reddy in their midst, he said.
