Telangana's political arena seems to have been thrown into a state of flux ever since Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy was
recently appointed as the new TPCC chief.
Reports state that after the appointment, several former colleagues of the leader from the TDP are reportedly looking to the grand old party to secure their political futures.
This is sure to come as a blow to the already weakened yellow party as state TDP head L Ramana also recently resigned from the party to
join the TRS.
Many believe that some in the saffron party too are considering switching over to the Congress fold.
Mahabubnagar district president of the BJP, former MLA Erra Sekhar, today called on Reddy. The leader, who has a history of leaving the party, had resigned from his post in the past. However, he had withdrawn his resignation following the intervention of the state's senior BJP leaders.
Apart from being district president, Sekhar had also worked as Jadcherla MLA in the past. However, it is believed that he is unable to mingle with the local BJP leadership ever since his association with the saffron party began. In this context, his meeting with Reddy has raised not only eyebrows but also speculations across political circles in the state.
Besides this, BJP leaders Gandra Satyanarayana Rao and Dharmapuri Sanjay also met with the TPCC chief, which is reportedly a harbinger of their eventual switch to the Congress.
