Vanama Venkateswara Rao, the MLA of the Kothagudem Assembly constituency of Bhadradri Kothagudem district and a BRS leader, received a jolt in the Telangana High Court today.
The High Court dismissed Vanama's petition seeking a stay order against its order to disqualify him as MLA.
In his interim application, Vanama sought time to appeal against the order of the High Court in the Supreme Court.
For the unversed, the High Court had ruled that the election of the Kothagudem MLA was invalid as he had submitted a false affidavit before the Election Commission.
