Two Officials Caught By ACB For Collecting Bribe
The two Legal Metrology officials of Ranga Reddy district were arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, at Nampally.

Today, a Singaboina Uma Rani, District Inspector, Legal Metrology (Weights & Measures), Ranga Reddy district, was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the Hyderabad City Range II Unit, when she demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 through a D Mallesham, Senior Technical Assistant, from the complainant Salehundam Giridhar Rao, a License Holder authorized by Legal Metrology, for an official favour - i. e. stamping and generation of validity certificate for the work done by the complainant in respect of 25 Electronic Weighing Machines pertaining to NATCO Pharma Limited, Kottur.
The tainted money was recovered from the possession of Mallesham.
Uma Rani and Mallesham were accused of performing their public duty improperly and dishonestly, and were arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, at Nampally.
