MGNREGS Consultant Arrested By ACB For Taking Bribe
Bandakindi Parushuramulu was arrested in Maddur mandal while taking a bribe of Rs 11,500 for verifying and completing check measurements of MGNREGS files.

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today caught Bandakindi Parushuramulu, an engineering consultant for MGNREGS, red-handed while accepting a bribe at the office of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (MPDO), Maddur mandal, in Siddipet district.
At around 2:20 pm, Parushuramulu was arrested while taking a bribe of Rs 11,500 from a complainant in exchange for an official favour - verifying and completing check measurements of MGNREGS files and forwarding them to higher authorities for the sanction of bills.
The tainted currency was recovered from his possession in the presence of mediators.
According to ACB officials, the accused acted improperly and dishonestly in the discharge of his duties to obtain undue advantage.
He was arrested and will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Nampally, Hyderabad.
The case is currently under investigation, and officials are examining whether he was involved in similar offences earlier.
The ACB has urged citizens to come forward and report any such demands for bribes.
