Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka today said that the Congress' Jana Garjana Sabha, which is scheduled to be held at Tukkuguda in Rangareddy district on April 6, would set the direction for the country.
Vikramarka on Thursday inspected the arrangements for the public meeting at Tukkuguda, and asked the party cadre to take all possible steps to ensure the success of the meeting.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, the Deputy CM said that the AICC leaders would give a message to the nation after releasing the party's manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections, and that the Jana Garjana Sabha would set the direction for the country.
"The Congress government in Telangana is implementing its guarantees successfully, and with the same spirit, the party will fulfill all its the national promises after coming to power at the Centre," he said.
Vikramarka alleged that the previous BRS government needed to be held responsible for the current drought situation prevailing in Telangana as former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao didn't not take any measures to store water in reservoirs and projects during the monsoons.
"We are trying to repair the damaged power system from the previous BRS government. Steps are also being taken to ensure that there are no power cuts even for a moment in the future. The Congress government is already giving up to 200 units of free electricity to eligible families. We are also preparing plans to meet the peak demand till 2030-31," Vikramarka said.
