Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today claimed that the Congress had never said that the loan waiver would be done in 100 days.
Addressing a press conference organised by Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) at Basheerbagh, the Deputy CM, however, said that the Congress government was committed to the loan waiver, and said that the promise given to the farmers would be fulfilled in a stipulated period.
He also criticised the poor construction of the Medigadda barrage of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, and said that the BRS government had spent thousands of crores of rupees without being responsible.
Vikramarka also said that the practice of phone-tapping was very dangerous, and that the BRS government had intruded into the lives of common people for financial purposes.
"The BRS government blackmailed many persons in the name of phone-tapping, and indulged in large-scale corruption. It was unethical, and nobody can condone such a heinous act," Bhatti said.
The Deputy CM also claimed that quality power was being supplied to all segments in Telangana, and asked people who were facing problems related to power supply to bring them to his notice, promising to resolve it immediately.
He also warned that cases would be filed against anyone spreading any malicious campaign on the social media against the power supply situation.
