The TTD has been providing Annaprasadam to the shelter-less and jobless daily wagers and beggars in Tirupati since March 28 as they can't earn their daily bread due to the lockdown.
Every day the TTD has been providing 1.4 lakh food packets to the needy in the Tirupati urban and rural areas.
In addition, to quench the hunger of the stray dogs and the cattle in the temple town, the TTD has also been providing two meals to the street dogs and three tons of fodder to the cattle each day since April 1.
In view of the decision of the government to wind down the lockdown, the TTD too will wind up the food distribution from April 25 as most of the jobless daily wagers will commence work from April 20.
