Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today said that a leader going to represent any constituency in Parliament should be well-educated and well-versed with English and Hindi.
The CM was holding a review meeting with party seniors on the selection of the MP candidate for Warangal for the November 21 bypoll.
"We need to send a person who raises issues in Parliament in a proper way," KCR reportedly said.
The meeting authorized KCR to announce the candidate, it is learnt. And he is said to have finalized G Ravi Kumar.
Those who did not get the ticket should not remain unhappy as they would get nominated posts, he convinced other leaders.
The Chief Minister also asked the leaders to work together for the victory of whichever person was eventually fielded as the candidate.
Later, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said that KCR would announce the candidate of the TRS on Friday.
