Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday threatened to file a defamation case against suspended leader Raghunandan Rao.
Addressing a press conference, KTR said that the TRS would not tolerate the "wild and baseless" allegations that are being leveled against the party and its leadership by Raghunandan Rao.
He said that the party would take stern legal action against Raghunandan Rao for
his comments and remarks against the TRS leadership.
The Sircilla MLA clarified that Raghunandan Rao was suspended from TRS following his indulgence in anti-party activities, and on information that he was planning to switch loyalties to another party. KTR also slammed a section of media for trying to blow up the issue out of proportion.
KTR demanded that the state government set up a separate ministry on the lines of Kerela to help those who are working in Gulf countries.
Accusing the government of failure to rescue the workers trapped in legal tangles in Gulf countries, he demanded the creation of a fund consisting of Rs. 500 crore to help them. (INN)
