The Telangana Rashtra Samithi slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks in the city yesterday asking the people of Telangana to end the family rule in the State, and termed him the most inefficient Prime Minister the country had ever produced.
Speaking with media persons today, TRS MLAs Balka Suman, Jeevan Reddy and Korukanti Chander said that Modi had no right to speak about family rule in other parties as the BJP itself was a family party.
Suman asked the Prime Minister on what basis Jai Shah, son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, had been appointed Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) even though he was not a cricketer.
KCR's children K T Rama Rao and Kavitha had both taken part in the Telangana agitation, and were later elected to the Assembly and the Lok Sabha by the people, unlike Shah who had been appointed purely through nepotism for the post at the BCCI, Suman claimed.
The TRS MLAs alleged that Modi had been working against the interests of Telangana ever since he assumed the post of Prime Minister, and had been denying funds to the State even though the NITI Aayog had recommended a budgetary allocation for Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya.
In another press conference, ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Gangula Kamalakar, and MLA Kaleru Venkatesh asked the Prime Minister to spell out what good he had done for the country during his eight years as PM.
The ministers criticised Modi for "failing to fulfill the aspirations of the people", and demanded the status of the recruitment for the two crore jobs per annum that the BJP had promised to the people during the last general election.
Elsewhere, another minister Malla Reddy demanded that Modi implement Dalit Bandhu across the country.
Speaking to the media in Warangal, Reddy alleged that the BJP government at the Centre was working only for the interests of a section of businessmen, and was not the government of the poor people.
