20 Residential Schools, Scholarships For Muslims
Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today made this announcement while extending greetings to Muslims in Medak on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr.

Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today extended Ramzan greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Id-ul-Fitr in Medak.
He participated in a Namaz along with Muslim youth, and exchanged pleasantries.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the TRS government would extend educational scholarships to Muslim youth by setting up 20 residential schools for them across the state.
"Muslim children will get scholarships for studies on par with SCs, STs and BCs," he said.
He also claimed that the KCR government spent huge funds on Ramzan gifts for the poor at iftar dawats at some 200 select mosques in the state.
"We have distributed clothes and caps to two lakh poor Muslims on the occasion of Ramzan," Rao said.
The government was also offering Rs 1,000 to each Imam and Mauzar working in mosques in Telangana, he added.
The state government was giving priority to communal harmony and brotherhood being maintained among Hindus and Muslims as usual, he remarke, and said that it is a great coincidence that both Ramzan and the Godavari Pushkaralu were being celebrated at the same time.
