TRS Plenary Focused More On BJP Than On TRS: Bandi
Referring to KCR saying that he would now focus on serving the country, Bandi said the CM had done nothing for the development of even the State in eight years.
Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today took potshots at the plenary of the ruling TRS, and claimed that the meeting was held only to criticise the BJP rather than inform the people about the achievements made by the State government during its eight-year rule.
Kumar made these remarks while addressing a press conference at Utkoor along with other party leaders.
He said that plenaries were held by political parties to discuss their organisation structure and their achievements, but that no discussion was held on the promises to be fulfilled by the TRS in its plenary. This proved that the TRS had done nothing for the development of the State, he said.
Kumar also claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had ignored the first leg of his (Kumar's) ongoing padayatra, but that the latter was now scared after seeing the response being received by his yatra from the people, and that that was one more reason that the plenary all about the BJP.
Referring to the comments of KCR that he would now focus on serving the country, Bandi alleged that KCR had done nothing for the development of even the State in eight years. He also said that KCR had made the State debt-ridden by taking loans to the tune of Rs. 4 lakh crore, and that the colossal financial mismanagement had resulted in a situation where the government was not in a position now to even pay the salaries of its employees and pensions to its pensioners. In addition, the State government also owed Rs. 70,000 crore to the two power distribution companies of the State, he claimed.
